  • Daniel Wagner

    EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

    Dan is a Government and Politics major with a concentration in Legal Studies as well as the Editor-in-Chief of the UPLJ at FDU. Last year, he was an editor and author for the first issue of the UPLJ. He is excited to use his experience to grow and better the journal for years to come. Dan looks forward to using the journal to promote and elevate a wide range of student voices within the community.

  • David Schneider

    SENIOR MANAGING EDITOR

    David is the Senior Managing Editor for the Undergraduate Politics and Law Journal at FDU. He is majoring in Government and Politics with aspirations to go to law school after completing his degree at FDU. He has a strong interest in using his experience working on the journal in conjunction with his anticipated degrees to aid in international struggles and protect wrongfully incarcerated political prisoners. Outside of the journal, David is an active member of Fairleigh Dickinson’s Mock Trial team on the Florham Campus

  • MICHAEL BUTTELMAN

    BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR

    Mike is the Business Administrator of the Undergraduate Politics and Law Journal. He is a senior psychology major with a business minor. He looks forward to assisting the Editor-in-Chief, Senior Managing Editor, and the broader UPLJ team in continuing the journal's academic standing and looks forward to helping provide fellow undergraduate students with the space to publish scholarly legal and political articles.

    Apart from the Journal, he previously served as a Senator under the Student Government Association’s Vice President of Financial Affairs.

  • TRACY OSAWE

    SENIOR BLOG EDITOR

    Tracy is the Senior Blog Editor of the Undergraduate Politics and Law Journal at FDU. She is majoring in Government and Politics with Pre-Law and Creative Writing Minors. She joined to assist with initiating and maintaining correspondence with the authors. She also looks forward to being involved in the reading and editing process as well.

    Outside of the journal, Tracy is a member of FDU’s Mock Trial Team. She also established a Mini Law School Scholarship for underprivileged high school students. Tracy also works as a Policy and Advocacy Intern at Homeless Solutions, Inc. in Morristown, NJ.

  • Ashley Sperduto

    PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

    Ashley is the Public Relations Manager for the Undergraduate Politics and Law Journal at FDU. She is majoring in Government and Politics with a specialization in Legal Studies and a minor in Event and Convention Management. With her position, she hopes to help grow the journal’s platform and continue growing our readership and audience. Beyond the journal, Ashley is involved throughout campus serving as a Vice President on SGA and working in admissions as well as being an Orientation Leader.

  • Nick Wroblewski

    MANAGING EDITOR

    Nick is the Managing Editor for the Undergraduate Politics & Law Journal at FDU. As a dedicated student, he is currently majoring in Government and Politics, with a minor in environmental studies. Nick has set his sights on a post-graduate degree in public administration. He hopes this next step will provide him with the knowledge and tools necessary to reach his goal of combatting climate injustices and advocating for impactful environmental legislation.

    Nick’s enthusiasm for collaboration is evident, embracing his role as Managing Editor, where he works alongside his fellow editors and a team of talented students. He believes that the collective efforts of these passionate individuals will catalyze growth, drawing on the combined expertise gained from being students of law and politics in order to publish the best possible articles.

    BLOG EDITOR

    Faith Cardillo (she/they) is majoring in Government and Politics. They look forward to working with the incredible students on this journal and learning more from their guidance and experience.

    Outside of the journal, Faith is the founder of the organization, Bulletproof Pride, a representative on the NJ Youth Legislative Council, and a part of the FDU Honors Academy.

    ARTICLES EDITOR

    Ella is an Articles Editor for the Undergraduate Politics and Law Journal at FDU. She is a Government and Politics Major, with a Pre-Law Minor. She joined because of her interest in politics and is excited to have this opportunity to work with her peers.

    Outside of the Journal, she is involved in her sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, and she is a member of the Pre-Law Honors Society. This past summer, she had the privilege of serving as a Congressional Fellow in New York's 18th Congressional District.

    Sally is double majoring in Criminal Justice and Government and Politics. After completing my bachelor's degree in FDU she plans to attend law school. Since she is a transfer student, she wanted to become more involved at FDU. So joining the journal was a way to get more involved in the campus by spreading awareness, learning, and meeting more students. She looks forward to helping the journal in any way I can.

    Mariana is an Articles Editor for the Undergraduate Politics & Law Journal at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is majoring in Government and Politics with a minor in Studio Arts. Mariana joined the journal this year to help promote and inspire undergraduate students to share their personal understandings of both American and International Politics. She is looking forward to learning the editorial process and working with the UPLJ.

    Outside of the journal, she is currently the President of the Politics and Law Club in the Florham Campus and is a part of both the Pre-Law Honors Society and Honors Program.

  • SUHAIB JAWAD

    ARTICLES EDITOR

    Suhaib Jawad is a rising junior majoring in Government & Politics at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. On campus, he is a part of the Pre-Law Honor Society while also serving as an Editor for the FDU Undergraduate Politics & Law Journal (UPLJ).

    In addition, he is the Vice President of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) as well as the ASC-US Senator of the Student Government Association (SGA). Suhaib also serves on the Dean of Students Council and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Council (DEIA). He is a Student Ambassador and Orientation Leader for the university and part of its Honors and Global Scholars programs.

    Having served as an Article Editor last year, Suhaib is excited to be returning to help authors craft a perfect article.

    ARTICLES EDITOR

    Brianna is an Article Editor for the Undergraduate Politics and Law Journal at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a criminology major with minors in psychology and pre-law who joined the journal to be part of a unique opportunity for students to have their voices heard on topics they are passionate about.

    Outside of the UPLJ, Brianna is also involved in the Student Government Association, the Florham Programming Committee, the Politics and Law Club, and is a member of the Pre-Law Honors Society. After graduation, she hopes to go to law school and focus on child advocacy and criminal law.

    Jocelyn is an Article Editor for the Undergraduate Politics & Law Journal at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Biology. She joined this journal to help students communicate their thoughts and beliefs on current world issues in a professional environment. She is eager to work with the phenomenal editorial team and authors to help the journal grow, educate, and spread awareness.

    Giovanni is an Articles Editor for the Undergraduate Politics & Law Journal at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is currently majoring in history and chose to join the journal because of his interest in how past historical events impact modern day law and politics. He is eager to analyze how the past affects the present, and how the present will impact the future.

    Outside of the journal, Giovanni is a member of FDU Honors Society, as well as a member of FDU American Politics Club.

    Elizabeth Tapia is majoring in Government & Politics with a concentration in Legal Studies. She joined the journal eager to collaborate in the editing and reading of many political topics today, while also bringing in different points of view throughout the process. She feels fortunate to work with the authors and help bring today’s current world issues to the attention of our students at Fairleigh Dickinson.

    Outside the journal, she is President of the Latinx Student Government Association, chief of staff for the Student Government Association, and a member/ worker of the FDU Honor Society.

    Natalie is an Articles Editor for the Undergraduate Politics and Law Journal at FDU. Natalie is a junior majoring in Criminology with a minor in forensics science. She is also getting her master's degree in criminal justice after getting her bachelors. Natalie joined this journal to read articles made by FDU students, for them to have a voice for things they care truly about.

    Outside of the UPIJ, Natalie is an Executive Board member for the Student Government Association, Secretary for the Politics and Law Club, Treasurer for the True Crime Club, in the Universities Honors Program (honors admission committee member and honors squad leader), Pre-Law Honors Society, and a Resident Assistant on the Florham Campus.
