Journal Article Submissions.

The Undergraduate Politics & Law Journal at Fairleigh Dickinson University is calling for submissions from any undergraduate student. Contributions must be original and related to an area of politics or law.  The articles should focus on contemporary political and/or legal issues, contain a clear argument, and have proper citations. We are open to a variety of disciplines, methods of research and analysis (historical, legal, quantitative, sociological), and topics, but we expect submitted articles to have a strong thesis and to be carefully edited prior to submission.

While you can submit a piece at any time, please note that the Journal is published once every academic year in May. Articles submitted before October 15 will be considered for publication for the pending issue. Any pieces submitted after that deadline will be archived for consideration in the next editorial cycle.

Articles must comply with the following:

  • Articles should range from 2,000 to 5,000 words and should be double-spaced with 1” margins;

  • The articles must use proper citations as specified in the FDU Style Guide (available on the Journal’s website);

  • Articles should be submitted via the online form (in Word) on the Journal’s website by October 15th; any submission received after this date will be considered for a future issue.

  • The selection process will take place between October – November with publication announcements at the end of November.

If you have any questions regarding the requirements of the articles, please refer to the FAQ section or reach out via email.
